HOLISTIC NUMERICAL METHODS INSTITUTE LOGO From alpha to omega, the Holistic Numerical Method Institute logo represents the holistic nature of the web site to teach numerical methods to engineering undergraduates. The effort is dedicated to reaching a large audience of undergraduate students holistically and at the same time serve their customized needs.
HOLISTIC: Holistically, the resources review background information; teaches numerical methods through textbook notes, presentations, simulations and assessments; show how what they learned is applied in real life; tell stories to illustrate special topics and pitfalls; give historical perspectives.
CUSTOMIZED: From a customized perspective, the user can choose a language of choice: Mathcad, Maple, Mathematica or Matlab; and choose a major - Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, General, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering. |
